3 x 100,000 Euros for the three best Cologne university start-ups: The C3 Campus Competition Cologne is won by zentras, Neonto, and CHARGEUNITY.

Cologne, November 10, 2023 - The top three startups from Cologne's universities have been selected: on Thursday night, at the "C3 Campus Competition Cologne" grand pitch final, the teams from zentras, Neonto, and CHARGEUNITY won over the judges at InnoDom Cologne.

They took the first three places and can each look forward to an investment offer of 100,000 euros.

Introducing C3 Campus Competition Cologne to the startup scene

Along with Sparkasse KölnBonn, Kreissparkasse Köln, and the Gateway Förderverein, the University of Cologne's Gateway Excellence Start-up Center (ESC) is organizing the new competition.

Eight of the 26 spin-offs from the universities in Cologne that participated in the multi-stage competition made it to the finals and will now be a part of the Gateway ESC Accelerator Program.

The Campus Capital Fund makes the investment offers to the top three teams. The fund was established to support spin-offs from NRW universities and is managed by STS Ventures.

The three winning teams

1st place: zentras provides doctors in private practice with suitable A.I.-based analyses. Patients can benefit from a digital second opinion or a better diagnosis.

2nd place: Neonto have developed a tool to measure and improve the quality of knowledge graphs. A knowledge graph allows you to structurely organize and link information and knowledge.

3d place: CHARGEUNITYenables private individuals to install and operate electric charging stations in public spaces.
