Welcome to Gateway Excellence Start-up Center. We are your partner for consulting and coaching in all aspects of founding and start-ups.

News

We support more than 35 start-up teams at the University of Cologne: B2B, B2C, social start-ups, consumer goods and tech start-ups. Our focus is on the knowledge- and technology-based concepts.

We provide our start-ups not only with advice and support from our start-up coaches and mentors. They are also offered workplaces at two of our incubator locations.

Demo Day 2023 (in 🇩🇪)

The grand finale after six months of the Accelerator Batch #2: At the Demo Day, our start-ups pitched in front of 120 guests from the ecosystem, including 40 investors and business angels. The guests were impressed by the great strides made by the seven teams in the Gateway Accelerator.

Beyond the Lemonade Stand - lecture series entrepreneurship (in 🇩🇪)

How to become a founder during your studies or how to learn to think and act like an entrepreneur? In this lecture series, we have 12 exciting lectures by founders and experts on this topic! Including credit points.

The finals of the Startup Your Idea Contest on January 19, 2023 (in 🇩🇪)

A big stage for the best ideas - the finals of the Startup Your Idea Contest at the Sport & Olympic Museum provided a surprising twist. Read here which teams won and what else was happening in addition to the pitches.
