Digital tutor für academic writing
Rock your Thesis sheds light on the path to academic writing. Allowing you to write your thesis better and carefree. Through our two platforms, www.Thesis-Elearning.com and www.RockYourThesis.com, we provide the tools and support you need to write your thesis more effectively and stress-free. We address a critical issue: the insufficient supervision students receive at universities, which often leads to overwhelm and frustration when writing academic theses. This challenge is expected to grow even further, as OECD forecasts project an increase in the number of students from over 235 million today to approximately 377 million by 2030.
Our solution provides 100% regulation-compliant methodological and procedural support to enhance academic education and help students unlock their full potential. Our team collaborates with over 75 highly qualified academic coaches from various fields, including PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and assistant professors. Together, we have developed a learning platform, www.Thesis-Elearning.com, featuring verified, high-quality materials that guide you step-by-step through every challenge of your bachelor’s or master’s thesis. On our coaching platform, www.RockYourThesis.com, you’ll find experienced academic coaches who provide 1-on-1 support to help you excel in writing your academic papers.
How did you get together as a team?
Our story began with Arne’s passion for helping students succeed in academic writing. During his doctoral studies at the University of St.Gallen in Switzerland, he supervised numerous theses and noticed that many students struggled with the same challenges: from finding a topic to conducting research and applying proper methodologies. These experiences inspired him to develop an initial Minimum Viable Product (MVP), which he tested with over 50 students. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, confirming that a structured tool could significantly simplify the writing process.
Back in Germany, Arne met Fabian, who was just about to start his master’s thesis. Arne encouraged him to use the MVP to streamline his writing process. Fabian was immediately impressed and had a bold vision: Why not integrate AI to provide personalized answers and round-the-clock support for students? This idea was the spark that made it clear—they needed to combine their strengths.
Working enthusiastically alongside their full-time jobs, they refined the concept for Rock your Thesis, incorporating valuable feedback from experts. Today, we are a team united by one mission: making academic writing clear and accessible for everyone.
What are you studying/working or what have you studied?
Arne holds a PhD in Information Systems from the University of St.Gallen. Previously, he worked as an (IT) strategy consultant in the CEO office of the Cologne ed-tech scale-up SoSafe.
Fabian studied business administration at the TH Nuremberg. Before Rock your Thesis he worked as an M&A Consultant.
Funfact
We developed the first version of Rock your Thesis during countless late-night sessions – often fueled by more caffeine than sleep. Along the way, we discovered that Arne’s most creative ideas come during walks with his dog “Coco Noir”, while Fabian’s best insights strike after spending way too much time at the coffee machine.
One memorable moment: during a test phase, we wondered if our tool could help students tackle “unusual” topics. The result? A student actually wrote a thesis on the Psychology of Memes – and ended up receiving top grades.
Our takeaway: no matter how unconventional your topic might seem, with the right structure and tools, you can achieve something amazing. And yes, sometimes the best ideas come when you least expect them – just like ours did.
