The E-Health platform designed for individuals in cancer aftercare

step into motion picks up where medical assistance ends - at home after rehabilitation, when the feeling of overwhelm sets in.

With a 6-month access to our E-Learning platform, individuals are provided with personalized strategies to seamlessly incorporate a healthy lifestyle into their daily routines.

Through group and individual sessions, a supportive community is fostered, where individuals are heard and encouraged.

Combining both online formats and personal interaction

In our courses 'Sport & Exercise', 'Stress Management', and soon 'Nutrition', our participants receive personalized content and strategies on how to integrate a healthy lifestyle into their lives.

We value the combination of online formats and personal interaction, which is why we also offer weekly group calls. These calls provide additional input from us and create space for personal exchange among participants.

step into motion has been developed for all individuals in cancer care, regardless of the specific diagnosis. With our digital solution, you can access the content whenever it suits you, integrating it seamlessly into your daily routine.

You'll have 6 months to work through all the materials at your own pace. Our workbook (personal reflection book) will help you continue implementing your learned strategies after completing the course, allowing you to track your progress and development. Your workbook remains with you for life.

You're welcome to remain part of the community even after completing the course to continue exchanging ideas with others!

How did you get together as a team?

Helen and Jessica met by chance in Biarritz, South of France. Helena was seeking support for Step into Motion, while Jessi was looking to further her professional development.

They instantly connected both professionally and personally. The connection to Annika stems from Helena and Annika's shared master's program at the Sports University of Cologne.

Although they pursued different career paths, they never lost touch. Our bond lies in shared values and a shared vision for the future of health and business.

How did you come up with your idea?

Helen identified the need for cancer care support during her master's thesis and developed the prototype for step into motion. Now, this prototype is being further developed to make Step into Motion accessible to more people.

What are you studying/working or what have you studied?

Helena: Bachelor's in Sports Science; Master's in Sport and Health Psychology. Previously worked in a clinic with a psychosomatic focus.

Jessica: Bachelor's in Psychology; Master's in Neuropsychology. Works as a psychological coach and developed "Surf Therapy," a combination of coaching and surfing (nature).

Annika: Bachelor's in Sports Science/Sports Management; Master's in Sports, Media, and Communication. Previously worked as a project coordinator in another start-up and later as project management in a climate protection association.

Funfact

Helen and Jessica met in Biarritz, and Annika joined them while she was in Canada. Despite this, we all come/live in Cologne and nearby.

What has Gateway ESC helped you with?

Through Gateway, we successfully applied for and received EXIST funding. The office space at InnoDom fosters valuable exchanges with other start-ups, which is incredibly enriching.

We are all in similar stages of founding with comparable challenges, making the initial phase much easier when we can learn from each other.
